Stacked Pumpkins - WIP #2

Still stacking pumpkins! I figured I would show you guys how I am coming along!

I got all of the pumpkins attached, so my little friends have COMPLETE bodies! I also went back and made a few with white pumpkins!

Here is a side-by-side comparison of the two colors. I like them both for different reasons... The orange one just SCREAMS Fall, but the white ones make me think of bones! And these are inspired by Jack Skellington!

Here is a little size reference.

Here are a few more shots of different details. Each one is hollow throughout the entire body, which not only makes them lighter, but it leaves room for a light to go inside! I am still on the search for a light set-up that I like, but have yet to find one.

I wanted to buy the little bulbs and stuff, but the initial investment is pretty pricey! I would have the buy the generator, the power strip, the cords, the bulbs... the list goes on. Not to mention that I would have to get creative with hiding the cords since I did not take them into account when I built my dollhouse. I AM still under construction, so I guess I can always alter it a bit ;)

I also went back and added a few washes of paint over each pumpkin to make them look more realistic! I REALLY like the way they look now and I think it will look perfect with some shabby accessories! (Which will be made soon enough!)

I still have to carve their teeth, but that shouldn't take TOO long.

Oh! And I went back and added some bows! I made these from raffia and I think it looks great for the Fall season!

This raffia doesn't look that great on the white pumpkins, so now I am off to search for something darker for them!

Alrighty! That's all for today! I need to get off the computer and let the maintenance guy know what is wrong with the stove. He is making me uncomfortable already, so this should be SUPER fun. Times like this make me wish I wasn't so awkward!

Have a great day, guys!
