Mail Time! + Updates!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to drop a line and let you guys know what has been going on with A Bohemian Bazaar (along with myself).

First! I got another package in the mail! From Karine!

I have been VERY busy lately. Yet, IRONICALLY... I haven't gotten much done. Ever feel like that? I started my classes this week! My first week of college is over! It went WONDERFULLY. I'm going to post images of Kaya's super great gifts throughout this post while I go on about updates and things. I will come pack to the gifts at the end of the blog post! Oh! Don't forget to click on the images to see them larger.

As for my classes, I go to campus twice a week- on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When I go I have 2 classes each day. I am also taking 2 online classes that I must work on throughout the rest of the week. I will also have a THIRD online class starting at the beginning of February! This week was pretty tiring... especially getting used to the new schedule and stuff.

As for A.B.B, I am currently working on some Valentine's Day items. I am not totally sure how much I will get made, but I am trying my hardest to keep making SOMETHING. Here is a little hint- I have been VERY VERY VERY inspired by French confections! I am thinking about putting my own little spin on some things! :)

House work! As for the model house, I will continue to work on it as I get adjusted to my constant changing schedule. I still have EVERYTHING to do to the inside and I also have more to do on the outside. Don't worry, I am in no way done with that yet!

Hmm.... What else is there? I think that is all for now!

Hopefully you took a few seconds to browse through the things Kaya sent me. I love getting things in the mail, and I am totally grateful for everything I receive! There was the golden champagne glasses, the scoopers, the 1 inch zip baggies, the bronze statue, the sculpting tools, the fences, the miniatures, the calligraphy pen, and the CD!

I love the little statue! He will find a home on one of the many bookshelves I will make for the house. Oh! And the coloring pencils, writing pencils, erasers, and book were all handmade by her! How great is that?! She also made me the molds, which I will use on some sweets soon (hopefully very soon!). There is also the CD she made for me. It has books and magazines on miniatures she found online! I feel like I am forgetting something... hmmm... I'm not sure. I am just really happy to have gotten this in the mail! It made my week a little brighter and makes me want to MAKE SOMETHING!

I am a bit slower with collecting items for trades and gift packages, but I will soon send Kaya some things! She also send a lovely card and letter as well. Oh! And as you can see from the first image, the colors matched! That was basically the icing on the cake. :)

Thanks for stopping by! And also thanks for sticking with me!

Gifts in the mail! Yay!

I LOVE GETTING THINGS IN THE MAIL. It is like Christmas! Or my birthday! Which... it actually will be my birthday soon! This is what a VERY dear friend sent me in the mail for my birthday coming up. Thanks, Kaya!

She gave me a little collection of supplies and findings that are just perfect! They are all things that I have either never seen before or can't ever find!

Here is a looksie at everything she sent me! It was packaged very safely! Well done, Kaya!

She gave me 11 sheets of this gold adhesive paper! I honestly have no idea what I am going to use it for, but I CAN'T WAIT TO COME UP WITH SOMETHING!

She also sent me some wonderful tiny silver champagne glasses! I will TOTALLY use these soon! I never find glasses around where I live and now I can use these to display with my miniatures!

She also sent me a bag of these little nails... I was NOT expecting anything like this, but I know I can use them for something! I still have a lot to do on my dollhouse, so these will come in handy soon!

She also sent me some of these little dishes! I can't wait to display some stuff in them. I could even paint them!

I was also thinking I could turn one into a bird bath... paint it to look like stone and add a pedestal!

And these.... I have no idea where she found these, but THEY ARE JUST WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! They are itty bitty baggies. They only an inch tall! For those of you who have wanted loose candy corn... these baggies might have made that possible! Once I make a lot of candy corn I could measure it out and put them in these baggies.

This was SUCH a wonderful gift to find on my doorstep when I came home today! My friend and I drove almost 2 hours to go to a concert that we have been looking forward to for three weeks... and it got canceled! Well... postponed. The band won't be coming until the end of October. So basically we went all that way for nothing!

We did manage to stop at an antique mall and I bought 3 antique spoons! I am going to have them turned into rings. Anyways, I just wanted to share my PERFECT gifts! I think I will start doing trades or something like this more often. I have started getting some things together for Kaya and we want to make this a regular thing! Thanks again, Kaya, for all the great stuff! I just KNOW I will be using it all really REALLY soon!

Well, I'm off to bed! I gotta get up early tomorrow and get back to work!

Thanks for stopping by and reading!
