Home Sweet Home! + Starting late on Christmas items!

Hello, my loves!!! I miss you all so much! I had a wonderful time at my Nanny's, but I almost went INSANE! Well... sorta. (I'm basically already insane :] ) For some reason blogger wouldn't let me upload any images and so I got discouraged and didn't make much while I was gone! I did, however, make some of these!

They are Christmas Cookie ornaments! :D :D :D

Don't they look SCRUMPTIOUS! They aren't exactly miniature, but they are small! Each one only measures a few inches tall, but I think they came out pretty realistic, don't you!?

The sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies are just the start... I want to also make regular cookies, in different sizes. But hey.... I ain't making any promises! I have been SUPER DUPER busy and my time isn't going to free up any time soon.

Over on the left you can see a chocolate chip cookie! This was actually the hardest to make- because I want them to be REALLY realistic and I didn't have any real chocolate chip cookies on hand to look at for reference.

Here I added some red cord! Very simple, and very cute!

Below you can see the gingerbread man and the chocolate chip cookie on their strings and hanging on the tree! :)

As for some actual miniatures, I will have to wait until at least Sunday to start making some. I just got back home last night and my parents have scheduled a trip to the mountains (again). This time we are going to see all the Christmas lights! :D :D :D

Anyways, I will have about a week to work on miniatures before I go BACK out of town. We are going back to my Nanny's on Christmas day.

And don't worry! For those of you that like to keep up with my model house, I will also work on that some next week! I have a ton of bricks cut out and I would like to put some Christmas decorations on it as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Still Here! - Updates + A Friend's Giveaway!

My sweets! How has everyone been!? I have seemed to have fallen off the radar lately, huh?

Well I honestly haven't been up to much. Life just keeps getting in the way! Between family stuff and taking photos I have been neglecting my miniature work!

BUT NO LONGER! I have been working on a few new things. Some Christmas items! :)

Here is a little image of a candy cane I made.

I have also been working on some more breads. I am always trying to make them look more and more realistic. As you can see I am trying to make some different types of bread than I normally do.

Oh! I have been trying to get some decorations together for my Christmas tree! :) I made these ball ornaments the other day. I have a few more to make still. I also am going to use this camera ornament my mom got me when we went to the mountains. AND this cabinet that Victoria sent me! I want to paint it white and make it all Christmas-y and then put it on my tree! :D

As for the house, I have been slowly getting my thoughts together for it. I have managed to collect plenty of egg cartons and I have been making some bricks from those. Here is how the inside of the house looks at the moment....

Kinda bare, huh? Haha. Yeah. I agree. I am actually going to visit my Nanny this weekend. I am staying at her house for about two weeks or so and I need to pack up my entire shop! I am going to still work on things while I am there :) I actually do this a lot when I go stay with family. All of my family members know that I work for myself and they enjoy watching me put things together. Here are some bricks I have cut!

Trust me, I have got PLENTY more to make. But this will be fine for now. I am going to assemble my fireplace before I leave for my Nanny's house. While I am there I will do the brick-work and maybe decorate it a little bit.

You will surely hear from me again within the next day or so! I will share how I pack up EVERYTHING for working away from home. I will also share how my fireplace will start off as!

OH! Here is something fun. I just entered in Natasha's wonderful giveaway over on her blog, Eat Cake Miniatures.

You have a chance to win one of her precious works! I love her perspective on furniture and OF COURSE I love her shabby chic style! I hope you all go enter her giveaway and follow her blog! She is super sweet and talented!

Until next time,
