Some Mini Baked Goods!

I am BEYOND happy to finally have some of these baked items done! Not only are a few pies done, but I have some new doughnuts to share along with a new Halloween assorted set! Take a look?!

These pies are currently listed in my shop. You can find them HERE. As for my doughnuts... I ended up making quite a bit! I flocked some with craft sand and it looks just like sugar! Yay! I then made them look like they were filled with jelly! On the right, you can see an iced version!

I also made some chocolate ones! Whenever we go get donuts, I always get at least one chocolate iced one. They are my favorite! :)

And finally, here is the new Halloween set! I wanted to have a wider range of textures this year, so I added a sugared doughnut and played around with the icing on one.

I think it looks like a spider-web! And it even has blood jelly on the inside! Haha!

As always, thanks for stopping by! I am so happy I got to make some minis this week! And I still have the rest of today and tomorrow! :) I hope you all are doing well!

The Haps At the Bazaar!

As usual... it's been pretty busy around here. I have, however, been lucky to work on some minis! I remade my donuts and finished up those three pies! Here are some shots! The first image is a work-in-progress.

After adding some icing, sprinkles, and "sugar" - the donuts were ready for some glaze! I have taken everyone's suggestions and written them down. I haven't had time to experiment with new products these past few days, so I just picked up some Sculpey Glaze and it's working great! When I have more time I will try some other things- just for fun! :)

I figured I would take advantage of having to make another batch of donuts and try something new. As you can see, I made some sugared donuts! When I went to the apple orchard the other weekend, they were selling donuts that had been covered in sugar and I just KNEW I had to make something similar in miniature.

Here are my pies with some glaze on them! Apple, pecan, and pumpkin pies! Yum!

I did have a chance to play around with the cupcakes some more! These have a candy corn wrapper! :D Now they need to be frosted!

On a personal note, I have my last driving lesson today! Yayyy! Then I will probably practice for a couple weeks in my parent's car and then go for my license! :D I am also doing an interview for Amelia over at minifoodtutorials! It'll have bits and pieces about how I started with miniatures, my working preferences, and a couple tips! I will let ya'll know when it is posted! :)

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Oopsies!

Well. A while back I decided that I would share both my successes and my failures on this blog- and today. I will share one of my failures. :C

Its not a BIG mistake, but it's a mistake big enough that can't be saved. As you can see in the next image I made some new Halloween doughnuts for the 2013 range.

I was SUPER happy with them! They seem a lot more realistic than the ones I made last year... so I decided to start working on some boxes for them! Well... When I went to grab a set to take measurements for my boxes they were all stuck together! As it turns out- the spray sealant I found isn't reacting very well to the polymer clay. It isn't drying! (I sprayed these almost a week and a half ago) Here they are all stuck together.

Honestly, if the only problem about this was that they stick together- I wouldn't mind. But I DO mind all the lint and dust that sticks to them. So... lesson learned! I will no longer use the spray for polymer clay miniatures. :/ What do you use to seal miniatures? I normally just use Sculpey glaze because it has always done what I wanted it to, but I thought a spray would leave a more even layer. Any suggestions?

Thanks for stopping by! I am still working on some fun Fall miniatures (along with dipping my toes into some Christmas minis!). This has been a SUPER busy week. I am taking driving lessons which threw off Tuesday and Wednesday for me... and I also spent a day helping a friend build furniture for her office. But I *should* be free for miniature work for the rest of the week! :)

Assorted Halloween Donuts - Details - Halloween 2012

With Halloween among us, I decided to go all out this year with my minis! I didn't really make anything for Halloween last year and I honestly regretted that. So... to make up for that I took all of my best sellers in my shop and revamped them for the season! For this particular range I wanted to go with some fun festive Halloween colors- orange, green, and purple!

As for these yummy little doughnuts, there are six with each order! I like to keep these at half dozens because it is a manageable amount and with two sets you easily make a dozen donuts!

I made an orange drizzle, green drizzle, and purple drizzle for each set. There is also a white iced doughnut with chocolate drizzles! And for something a little different I have white and chocolate iced doughnuts with coordinating sprinkles!

The candy, cakes, and pumpkins are being sold separately. I have yet to list the candy corn, but as soon as I do I will make a special post about them! They take SO SO long to make and I doubt they will be available in the glass jars like the jelly beans. If I decide to make them available in the jars, they will a little higher in price because it takes so so long to make them!

That being said, I just love how the candy adds so much detail when simply sprinkled across the table! Here is a little detail shot of the doughnuts. They are each about 1/3 of an inch wide- which would make them about 4 inches wide in real life. Perfect for 1:12 scale!

I REALLY hope you guys like this year's Halloween range. I worked very very hard on it! :)

As for other things that are in the works- there ARE more Halloween items coming. I just can't seem to make them fast enough! And as for The Bazaar it is still WELL underway! I took a break from the build to focus on the minis. The next few tasks on that list are to get the window frames done, the door, the wallpaper, and the brick foundation!

If you are interested in purchasing any of my 1:12 scale miniatures, please check out my Etsy.
I have just made a new Halloween section to the shop, so feel free to browse!

I hope everyone is doing well!

NEW Halloween Miniatures! - Halloween 2012

It is FINALLY happening! Halloween items have been listed! :D I am still making more, so hang in tight! I mainly wanted to get some of this photographed and listed as soon as I could!

I listed all of my cakes-

There are orange, green, purple, and chocolate iced cakes. They are all available in classic yellow or chocolate cake.

A cake box is included with each cake! These boxes were designed, hand cut, and hand assembled by me! Yay!

Here is an overview of all the party cakes-

OH! I also listed some new doughnuts- to match the cakes, of course! :D

ANNNDDDDD.....  I made some pumpkins! I haven't had a chance to make any more jack o'lanterns, but I will get to that soon!

Jelly beans. Color coordinated, as well!

This is something new... Bunting banners! This is very new for me, but I really like how these turned out! I made three designs- polka dots, stripes, and candy corn! I haven't listed the candy corn ones yet because they go with something else I am working on :)

And here are some shots of the cakes in their boxes!

I hope you all like everything! I know there are a few of you out there that want some candy corn, and I am hard at work making some more! They are SO SO tiny that it literally HURTS to sit still for so long to make them. Please feel free to check out my Etsy.

Have a great day!
