Hey guys! I need your help with something!
A few months ago I slacked off with my miniatures because I was INSANELY busy. I was graduating and then I was busy with my family and then I moved... When I finally had time to come back to making miniatures I decided I wanted to change a few things. Instead of just randomly making items here and there I wanted to make my work look more professional and realistic. I really hope it looks that way now!
In order to create a better aesthetic for my work, I made a new blog. I know it confused a lot of people and I apologize! I just couldn't figure out how to change the name and URL and everything of my old blog!
Anyways, my point is that I have not been able to gain all of my followers back! I now rely on selling miniatures as my job and it is the only form of income I have at the moment. I will be starting college in January and I wanted to keep working with the miniatures so that I could gain experience running my own business! I would really REALLY appreciate it if you guys share my blog with some people! Maybe post a link on your blog? Or in a post? Anything! Everything helps!
Please feel free to share pictures, or links... I have just been in the dumps lately because I don't know if my work isn't good enough or if enough people just aren't seeing it... I don't want to pout! I am just trying to figure out what the deal is!
If you would like to share some images on your blog, don't forget about the new Halloween spread.
I have TONS of pictures and there are a lot on my Etsy as well.
You can even share how my dollhouse is going! Which, by the way, I haven't forgot about! The windows are still on my desk waiting to be painted :)
ALSO, Here is a little preview of the candies. The image I showed you before was just the prototype, but here they are!
I will do another in-depth post about them later, I still have to get some more made. They will all be sold in these packages! The Halloween jelly beans will still be available in the jars, but not the candy corn. Those little things take too long to make to fill up that jar!
Well that is all for now. I mainly threw in the preview of the candy for those of you who read through to the end. This post was mainly an SOS! Even if you tell ONE person about my blog, it still makes a difference.
Thank you so much!

Hello, Blake!
ReplyDeleteI don´t know how can I help u, my blog has just 23 followers until now... and I think many of my followers are your folloers too.
I am starting in this blog world, so I don´t know how to put links in my posts, etc. I am learning... hehe.
But I hope all your followers will back to you!!!
Trust it!
Your work is really wonderful! Perfect!
Everything will be ok!
Big hugs!
Mariana.

Yes, let's hope! Thanks, again Irina!
DeleteBlake, I highly doubt it's the quality of your work, because it's beautifully detailed and the pieces are desireable. In my case, I'm waiting for you to list the corn and possibly a jack-o-lantern so I can buy several pieces together. I feel your prices are fair as well.
ReplyDeleteAs for the followers list, you've posted the move a few times so those who were really following have probably made the move. Are you checking your page views? Some people don't necessarily following with Google connect, but will add your blog to their reader (which may not be reflected in your page views). Also, make sure you have post titles and tags that will be found easily in an internet search. Same thing with the Etsy tags and item titles. Remember to add your facebook fans to your mental count!
Other ways to generate traffic are giveaways. Good luck!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I will try my best to get some candies and jack o'lanterns listed as soon as I can. I have had A LOT going on and it is so hard to find time to make things!
DeleteThank you for the advice, as well! I think I might try to have a give-away soon, because even if I don't gain followers the ones that I DO have are amazing!
Thanks again, Amy! I will try to take your advice!

I have to comment on your obvious talent: Your work is immaculate, your sculpting skills razor sharp (those cakes! And the pumpkins? Killer!)! I could ask a million questions and talk to you for hours! Maybe you would check out my blog and lend me a hand because I could learn a lot from you. Your new friend, Mini hugs!
