Building a China Cabinet! Or... Trying To...

OH GOSH TODAY. Today. Today. Today.

The weather stunk and I was in a funk. I started building a china cabinet yesterday because I decided that I need some furniture for my displays... Well here is the china cabinet. I will just show you guys pictures and talk at the end of the post.

OH! Did anyone else's page-views for your blog START OVER? I glanced at mine a minute ago and it said I had 2 page-views for all time. 2 PAGE-VIEWS. Anyways... on the the cabinet.

There's some detail shots....

Andddd here is what it looks like. ERGH. I DO have to say... I am proud of myself for this to be my first try, but I don't even feel like adding on the doors and the drawer to the lower part. I enjoyed building it, but it is not as clean looking as I wanted. And I apologize for the gloomy pictures :( It was cloudy outside and I try to use natural lighting for my pictures... so this is what I got today :C

Tomorrow I am working on miniature foods again! Well... sorta. I want to continue making some more jack o'lanterns and I also want to get some more candy made.

Oh! I have been looking at some House of Miniatures kits online and they look really nice! Does anyone have any suggestions about which kit (or kits) I should start off with? I would really like to have some furniture built for my displays.

Well that's all for today!
Oh!

Look!

Here is a white squirrel I saw the other day! Hahaha!

Have a blessed day!

  2. Holy cow, I've ever seen a white squirrel before :O

I have a big stack of HOM kits to make, but have only built a few so far. They're like anything mini, take your time and you'll be happy with the results.

  4. Hi Blake. Love your shelf..amazing for a first try! I can't even cut a straight line! The pieces you saw and liked on my blog are made from pulling apart and re-positioning pieces of crappy $1. hutches I get at my local craft store. I tried to make a settee but I hate it! Really wish I could learn more about making furniture..there's just so much to do and learn concerning mini's that I get lost in different projects instead of excelling at one or two. Really just want to get better at my food though..just wanted to say Hello and show you some love..so take care till next time sweet cheeks! Mini hugs!

    1. Thanks, Natasha!

I do the same with mini projects! Mini foods, dolls, furniture, plants, dollhouse... there are just SO many things to work on! It is very easy to get lost in a mini world! Haha!

      Thanks, again!
