Okay, so I saw on a few blogs that there was some furniture at the Dollar Tree that was only a dollar, and I had to check it out.
Some of the scale is off, but it will work for my purposes now as displays for my minis as I make them. You can't beat a dollar!
Speaking of dislays, I have always tried to put a penny in my photos to show the size of my minis, but I always just laid the thing down somewhere. I made this stand, like the ones you put plates on, and I love it! It's simple, and looks great!
I got my first etsy customer before Christmas! She found me on deviantART and as she was looking through my old minis she saw my rainbow cake. She was interested in buying it, but the longer I looked at it the more I thought I could make it better. So I made two versions of it. I simply made one with sprinkles on the top and one with sprinkles on the sides. I listed them on etsy here - http://www.etsy.com/listing/89313885/rainbow-cake-112-scale?ref=pr_shop - and here - http://www.etsy.com/listing/89313201/rainbow-cake-112-scale?ref=v1_other_2 - hop on over and take a look. If I need to make more, I am more than welcome to do so!
I also started on a doll. Well... a few dolls. I have REALLY been practicing sculpting faces. I've found that it is so hard to do younger faces. I will post pictures as I work the next few days, but here is one of them. It's an old person. I haven't decided if I want it to be a man or a woman, haha! The glasses are made from wire and paint.
Just wanted to let you guys know what I've been working on! I really hope you like it.
