Breads and Candy! Now listed on Etsy!

FINALLY! Something I can show you guys that I have up in the shoppe! I have been working for a few days now on these little guys! I wanted to offer something that I would want, which is a FULL range of breads. So here you go! Now listed HERE.

Each listing is for the 18 pieces in the image above. I would love to tell you the different types of breads, but I honestly don't know! (how shameful!)

Oh! In the next two images, check out that "rug"! Well... I have been using it as a rug. I found 2 of these at Goodwill and I was later told that they were doilies. I would REALLY love to make some of these with the crochet materials I have- so who knows? There might be A Bohemian Bazaar doily rugs in the near future?!?

Don't you just LOVE the doily?!?! I can't get enough of it!

As always, these are handmade with polymer clay to fit 1:12 scale dollhouses and displays.

Oh! I also listed some Jelly Beans and Caramel Creams! (I couldn't remember if I told you guys that yet.) Here are a couple images of those-

Well, that all for today! Again, if you are interested in any of these items you can check out my Etsy shoppe, A Bohemian Bazaar! The breads are listed HERE, the candies are listed HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

10 Reasons This Week Was Great!

Hello friends! It has been a GREAT week here at the Bazaar. Not only was it relaxing, but it was productive as well! Here are 10 reasons this week was great-

1. I continued to make candies!

2. I made a lot of progress on The Magnolia! The brick wall in the big room, the floor in the kitchen, and now the fireplace!

3. I prepped some canvases for miniature paintings!

4. I changed the fireplace/ inner chimney! This old chimney was a bit bulky and distracting, so I am thinking this one won't weigh down that side of the room as much, and I think it also gives the room some of its height  back.

5. True Blood began this Sunday! AHHH! I can already tell that this season will be better than the last season. The characters were back to their likable selves and the episode was directed by Bill! Awesome!

6. I began crocheting in miniature! I started off with one type of crochet thread, but have now changed to an even smaller thread. This next picture is of the new thread, and the following image is the old!

7. I also started reading Game of Thrones! I watch the t.v. show on HBO... and its wonderful... but the book... is even better. I have only read about 5 or 6 chapters, but I love it so far!

8. I tagged along with my friend, Ginia, to take bridal pictures- only to realize I had my entire camera bag EXCEPT my battery. So guess what I got to do that day? Carry everyone's bags. >_>

9. I worked out twice this week! (And hopefully I can squeeze in a third time today) I normally don't exercise, so this is a HUGE deal for me.

10. This is my second blog post for the week! Which is the ideal number for me- at least 2 or 3 posts a week. Yay!

The last two images are a preview of some other new things I am working on. The cake still needs some icing details, but I am trying to make my cakes much more detailed! The second picture is of spools of thread! And then the third image is of some berries! :D :D You can click on these pictures to get a better look!

Well, there's this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Gifts from Victoria! (Dark Squirrel's Miniature Asylum)

IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS, YOU GUYS! Only... Halloween time! OH GOSH, what if we gave gifts on Halloween like we do on Christmas????? Wouldn't that be amazing!! Anyways.... Moving on!

The other day I received a wonderful package in the mail! It was from Victoria, over at Dark Squirrel's Miniature Asylum!

So let's get to it! The first thing I opened up was this wonderful cabinet!

I think I am going to leave this one as is! Victoria let me know to feel free to turn these pieces into my own, and I sure will! This next piece- I think I might paint it! :D

And then when I picked up something heavy I was like, "What... on earth..." and I unwrapped it to find this! A metal desk! I love the flower details on it and I think I will paint this also :) I think this will look good in a certain area in the house I am building now... but that project is a surprise, so you will have to stick around to see what I will use it in! :D :D :D

There was also this half circle table. I think I may also have a place for this in my current project. In the living area! I see a phone, lamp, picture frame.... maybe even some knick-knacks on it! By the door, maybe!

Then there are these two lovely chairs! I like the detail on the back, and I think I may repaint these as well... and also redo the cushion! I love the patterned fabric that is on there now, but I have something in mind that will be better suited for the current build.

Now here are some smaller items.... that I just LOVE. Okay, here are some skull beads she dropped in the package! I think it would be cool to make these look a little more aged... and then use them as candle holders!

And THIS. Oh gosh. I just... Okay. Victoria, I am sure you didn't know this, I mean... how could you? But deer are one of my favorite animals. I believe this is a deer.... If not, I am going to pretend it is. Anyways, I would LOVE to repaint this and use it as a small statue! With the eclectic feel I am going for in my house, this is just PERFECT.

I took two pictures of this because I love it so much. It just blows my mind how this little thing can make me so happy! I want to have random nature-related items throughout all of my work and this is just.... so... perfect! Ahh! I can't stress that enough!

And lastly I got these little guys! MICE. Little. White. Mice. :D I love them! I could use them as Halloween decorations as is, or I could fur them! I think they are close enough to scale for it to be believable!

That's all of it! Thanks, again Victoria! Your package was VERY generous and oh so perfect! I can't wait until I get further along with my house and I am able to use these items!

ALSO, I don't know if you guys noticed... but... I have started with the shingles! That is what is in the background of some of these images. :) I will make a post later about those, though!

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check out Victoria's blog, Dark Squirrel's Miniature Asylum! She also has an Etsy store and a Facebook page! She makes spooky and fantasy miniatures and has inspired me to start making some of my own whimsical fantasy items! But those will come along later. :)

Front Porch - Part 1

Another successful day! This is what I did today :)

I covered the wooden front porch with my bricks, and continued the whole process of cutting, gluing, painting.

And to make the columns a little more interesting, I am adding bricks to them as well!

Here is what they look like on the front porch, just to give me an idea.

Red... red... red...

I added some different colors over the red, but I wasn't sure which ones to use. Haha! So I added some browns, greys, and other tones of reds.

Oh! Here is what I did to the columns. I built up the bottom with some foam core. Then I covered them in bricks :)

I wasn't really liking how my other door was turning out, so I bought a new one! I also found these doorknobs at Hobby Lobby. They came with itty bitty keys! And I also found a doorknocker! I think the details of the knob and knocker will really make the door look realistic :)

And here is what it all looks like so far! Looking at this now, I realize that I need to make the front steps while I am in brick-making mode. Also, ignore the bricks on the left column. I haven't glued those all down yet. It has been getting darker earlier, so I will stop working on The Bazaar when I can't take pictures any more.  I also need to work on the window frames.... Hmm... I guess I can go ahead and paint the door and window frames tonight.

We shall see! I know I want to make some more jack o'lanterns really soon so I can get them sold before Halloween! I love Halloween. Er.... I think I've probably said that like a million times. Haha!

Well, that's all for today! Thanks for stopping by :) Don't forget to let me know what you think! I respond to every comment!
