Breads and Candy! Now listed on Etsy!

FINALLY! Something I can show you guys that I have up in the shoppe! I have been working for a few days now on these little guys! I wanted to offer something that I would want, which is a FULL range of breads. So here you go! Now listed HERE.

Each listing is for the 18 pieces in the image above. I would love to tell you the different types of breads, but I honestly don't know! (how shameful!)

Oh! In the next two images, check out that "rug"! Well... I have been using it as a rug. I found 2 of these at Goodwill and I was later told that they were doilies. I would REALLY love to make some of these with the crochet materials I have- so who knows? There might be A Bohemian Bazaar doily rugs in the near future?!?

Don't you just LOVE the doily?!?! I can't get enough of it!

As always, these are handmade with polymer clay to fit 1:12 scale dollhouses and displays.

Oh! I also listed some Jelly Beans and Caramel Creams! (I couldn't remember if I told you guys that yet.) Here are a couple images of those-

Well, that all for today! Again, if you are interested in any of these items you can check out my Etsy shoppe, A Bohemian Bazaar! The breads are listed HERE, the candies are listed HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

10 Reasons This Week Was Great!

Hello friends! It has been a GREAT week here at the Bazaar. Not only was it relaxing, but it was productive as well! Here are 10 reasons this week was great-

1. I continued to make candies!

2. I made a lot of progress on The Magnolia! The brick wall in the big room, the floor in the kitchen, and now the fireplace!

3. I prepped some canvases for miniature paintings!

4. I changed the fireplace/ inner chimney! This old chimney was a bit bulky and distracting, so I am thinking this one won't weigh down that side of the room as much, and I think it also gives the room some of its height  back.

5. True Blood began this Sunday! AHHH! I can already tell that this season will be better than the last season. The characters were back to their likable selves and the episode was directed by Bill! Awesome!

6. I began crocheting in miniature! I started off with one type of crochet thread, but have now changed to an even smaller thread. This next picture is of the new thread, and the following image is the old!

7. I also started reading Game of Thrones! I watch the t.v. show on HBO... and its wonderful... but the book... is even better. I have only read about 5 or 6 chapters, but I love it so far!

8. I tagged along with my friend, Ginia, to take bridal pictures- only to realize I had my entire camera bag EXCEPT my battery. So guess what I got to do that day? Carry everyone's bags. >_>

9. I worked out twice this week! (And hopefully I can squeeze in a third time today) I normally don't exercise, so this is a HUGE deal for me.

10. This is my second blog post for the week! Which is the ideal number for me- at least 2 or 3 posts a week. Yay!

The last two images are a preview of some other new things I am working on. The cake still needs some icing details, but I am trying to make my cakes much more detailed! The second picture is of spools of thread! And then the third image is of some berries! :D :D You can click on these pictures to get a better look!

Well, there's this week! Thanks for stopping by!

The Candy Shoppe!

It might just be me (but I am pretty sure it isn't), but doesn't candy just make you happier?! Maybe not even eating it (although that helps)- just looking at it makes me happy! All the colors! And textures! And not to mention the smells!

Well as you might can tell, I am on a candy kick! Not only have I been making a lot of candy- I have been planning a candy-themed project! I do not know the extent of how big this will be, or how long I will be working on it- but I DO know that it will involve all the sugar and chocolate and yumminess that I can whip up!

As you can see in the image above, I have been making a LOT of candy! I have been making more of the past favorites like jelly beans, candy corn, and chocolate turtles- along with some new candies! I have some caramel creams (one of my all-time favorite candies), orange slices, gum drops, various chocolates, and also rock candy!

Making miniatures isn't the easiest thing in the world- especially CANDY! Not only do they need to look realistic, but so many have to be made! Honestly, the easiest thing about making miniature candy is how easy it is to lose your mind! Haha! But that's okay for us miniature artists- we already all mad!

I am still not sure when some of the candies will be available. I want to make sure I have enough for a couple listings and I am also going to keep some for a personal project I want to do! :)

I will keep you guys posted as I work, as always!
Thanks for stopping by!

There will
be 1 winner announced in 1 week, on November 14 around noon!

The winner will receive 1 jack o' lantern, 1 jar of Halloween jelly beans, 1 packet of loose candy corn (which I forgot to mention in the flyer, but it is shown in the image), 1 set of assorted Halloween doughnuts, 1 special give-away coupon for 25% off, 2 packets of candy corn, 1 packet of jelly beans (an item I didn't get around to making for my shop, but have 1 to let you have!), and also a random Halloween Celebration cake!

OH! Also, you can enter on my Facebook page and deviantart if you follow me on those places!

As for the updates...

I am currently making plans for Christmas minis! I have a lot in store and I want to try and do even MORE for Christmas than I did for Halloween. I am just SO unorganized and I tend to get distracted easily. BUT THIS TIME I have a plan! I am making detailed sketches and plans. I think you guys are really gonna love this stuff :D

Well that is all for now! I will be back soon with... something! Haha! Please feel free to enter my give-away! You don't have to post anything on your own blog or anything like that, but feel free to let others know about this!

I hope you have a blessed day!

Jar of Halloween Jelly Beans - Details - Halloween 2012

One thing about making miniatures is that you pretty much HAVE to love making them. Who else would sit in one spot for HOURS upon HOURS to make something that is so itsy bitsy teeny tiny?! Well I can honestly say that I LOVE making miniatures. There is just something about making something to scale and so small... and then in the end- holding it all in your hand!

This is one of those items that only the mentally unstable make. Each one of these jelly beans was hand made. Of course there are going to be imperfections. Of course there are going to be some that look too round or too long. That is just part of the art form!

These fit perfectly along with the new cakes and doughnuts for the Halloween season. I wanted to offer something that just FITS together- So... for this Halloween you just have to make one stop! Here are some more detail shots of the jellies. :) You can click on each image for a larger view.

If you would like to purchase these jelly beans, they are available in my Etsy shoppe.
I have also made a special Halloween section. With this particular purchase you will receive one jar of jelly beans. They come in a glass jar with a cork stopper as pictured above and below. There is also an A Bohemian Bazaar tag on the jar.

Also, if you would like to follow me among other places- check out these links!

Blessings to you all!

NEW Halloween Miniatures! - Halloween 2012

It is FINALLY happening! Halloween items have been listed! :D I am still making more, so hang in tight! I mainly wanted to get some of this photographed and listed as soon as I could!

I listed all of my cakes-

There are orange, green, purple, and chocolate iced cakes. They are all available in classic yellow or chocolate cake.

A cake box is included with each cake! These boxes were designed, hand cut, and hand assembled by me! Yay!

Here is an overview of all the party cakes-

OH! I also listed some new doughnuts- to match the cakes, of course! :D

ANNNDDDDD.....  I made some pumpkins! I haven't had a chance to make any more jack o'lanterns, but I will get to that soon!

Jelly beans. Color coordinated, as well!

This is something new... Bunting banners! This is very new for me, but I really like how these turned out! I made three designs- polka dots, stripes, and candy corn! I haven't listed the candy corn ones yet because they go with something else I am working on :)

And here are some shots of the cakes in their boxes!

I hope you all like everything! I know there are a few of you out there that want some candy corn, and I am hard at work making some more! They are SO SO tiny that it literally HURTS to sit still for so long to make them. Please feel free to check out my Etsy.

Have a great day!

Windows! - The Bazaar - W.I.P #4 + CANDY PREVIEW!

AHHHHH. Windows. Ugh. I spent most of the day putting these things together. I wanted to make sure they were really neat and clean and it took so long! Here are some shots I took along the way.

After all that work, I didn't even finish them all! I still have two left PLUS the inner door frame. Oh well. I got most of them done! When I glued them together, I actually let them dry in the window. They aren't glued in yet, I just wanted them to dry in the right shape.

I wish I would have gotten a better image! This gave me an idea of how it will look framed. I am still unsure of what I am going to do with the windows... you can be sure it won't be like what the instructions say! Hahahaha! I also got the stairs together. No big deal there. Each stair case was in two pieces and all I had to do was glue them together.

This previous image is of the gingerbread trim that came with the kit. I don't really like it, so I am planning on using the wood for something else. Maybe some furniture? I also have the wood from the shutters, too. That should give me a fun project some day soon :D

ALSO!!!!

Here is a little prototype of my up and coming candies! I have been trying for WEEKS to make these little packages and I have finally figured it out. Now all I have to do is clean up the process a little bit and make MORE! LOTS MORE!

You can click on any image to view it larger if you would like. Let me know what you think about the candies! In the image above are some prototype candy corn and also some of my jelly beans. I think I might need to scale down on the jelly beans now... Hmmm...

Have a great day!
