Cookies, Pumpkins, and a Very Happy 20th Birthday!

Hello, guys! It is now 11 o'clock at night and I am about to start winding down from a FANTASTIC 20th birthday! I spent some time with some great people and I feel so blessed! :) I did manage to list some new things on Etsy! One of the newest things I have made are these quote decorations! Here is one that says LOVE! There are a few more sets further into the post!

I also made some pumpkins that have a crackled look to them... they go along with the quote pumpkins pretty nicely! :D I have four different kinds of these, as you can see below.

Here are some more text pumpkins! It's been fun putting the colors together and working with the crackle medium.

I have also made some cookies! Here are some chocolate chip cookies! I love chocolate chip cookies SO MUCH. I just recently had the chance to make some real ones! They turned out awesome!

And here is another experiment! They are autumn leaf cookies!

That's all for today! I'm exhausted and I am looking forward to getting some sleep! I hope you all are doing well! I have been asked a couple times today if it feels any different to be 20 years old... and it kinda DOES. Normally I don't feel that different on my birthday, but today I felt... BRIGHTER than I normally do. I can only guess that it has to do with all of the great support I get from my family and friends- the ones in my every day life and the ones here on the internet! Thank you all so much for your support and care!

As always, if you are interested in any of these items check out my Etsy shop HERE! :)

The Haps At the Bazaar!

As usual... it's been pretty busy around here. I have, however, been lucky to work on some minis! I remade my donuts and finished up those three pies! Here are some shots! The first image is a work-in-progress.

After adding some icing, sprinkles, and "sugar" - the donuts were ready for some glaze! I have taken everyone's suggestions and written them down. I haven't had time to experiment with new products these past few days, so I just picked up some Sculpey Glaze and it's working great! When I have more time I will try some other things- just for fun! :)

I figured I would take advantage of having to make another batch of donuts and try something new. As you can see, I made some sugared donuts! When I went to the apple orchard the other weekend, they were selling donuts that had been covered in sugar and I just KNEW I had to make something similar in miniature.

Here are my pies with some glaze on them! Apple, pecan, and pumpkin pies! Yum!

I did have a chance to play around with the cupcakes some more! These have a candy corn wrapper! :D Now they need to be frosted!

On a personal note, I have my last driving lesson today! Yayyy! Then I will probably practice for a couple weeks in my parent's car and then go for my license! :D I am also doing an interview for Amelia over at minifoodtutorials! It'll have bits and pieces about how I started with miniatures, my working preferences, and a couple tips! I will let ya'll know when it is posted! :)

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Using My Light-Box + More Jack O'Lanterns!

I was planning on doing another "This Week @ The Bazaar" post... but honestly it has been one of those scatterbrained weeks. I have been working on more jack o'lanterns along with more candies... and still planning some new items. But more on that later! I am currently listing a few more jacks. Take a look! All of my images today were taken with the aid of my home-made light box. It's amazing what a little foam-core and tape will do! :) As always, these jack o'lanterns can be found in my Etsy shop, HERE.

I once again made white and green jack o'lanterns... but I am starting to miss orange. So... I will most likely make some orange jack o'lanterns soon! :)

And as for my light box... I am loving it more every day! It is a but tricky getting the colors right- today a lot of the images came out kinda blue... but I don't really mind it.

It is so much fun coming up with all of the faces for these! I try to think of what I would actually carve into the pumpkin if it was real. Now that I think of it... it's been a few years since I carved an ACTUAL pumpkin! :O

These last four jacks are "medium" size. The small pumpkins above all measure less that an inch wide, but these mediums are a little over an inch. I am also working on large pumpkins that will be around an inch and a half.

If you would like to purchase any of these little guys, you can check out the Autumn 2013 section of my Etsy shop HERE

I have also been working on candies... still... See, I have a good bit of patience but sometimes I can only take SO MUCH. Haha! The candy is taking so long to get a lot made up because of how time consuming it is! Here is a little preview of the candies I have been working on. Give it a click to see it up close!

In this little collage, I have gold foil-wrapped chocolates, Halloween themed saltwater taffy, jawbreakers, small packets of gummy worms, caramel creams, and candy corn... and some spooky gummy body parts!

As for the candy I am working on right now... I want it to be in small portions like one would be giving out to trick-or-treaters... which means INDIVIDUAL WRAPPERS. So far I haven't had TOO much trouble, especially since I spent so much time last year experimenting. I am hoping to have a full post on just candy soon.

Well, that's it for today! I hope you enjoyed seeing the fruit of this week's labor as much as I did making it! Thanks for stopping by!

Jack O'Lanterns, Pumpkins, and Candy!

If it isn't the warm colors or the cool crisp air that I long for, it's the sweet potato and pumpkin spice concoctions along... with cozy clothes! And THEN throw Halloween and Thanksgiving in the mix and I'm done. Just done! Oh! And my birthday! All of these are reasons that I love Fall. There are plenty more... but I already have a ton to share with you guys, so I will stop there!

I have been ~super~ busy this week! I knew I wanted to go ahead and get a jump-start on Halloween/Autumn minis... but I had no idea how inspired I would actually get! Take a look at what I have been working on!

***Oh, and if you are interesting in purchasing any of these items you can find them in my Etsy shop! Everything in the following post has been listed!  ***

Pumpkins!________________________________________________________

So far I have 4 sizes of pumpkins. They range from about a quarter of an inch to over an inch. I have also been playing around with multiple colors... At the moment I have plenty of white and green pumpkins.

This is my first time making listings like this... where I take pictures of a group of items and then label the different styles/items. Does anyone out there have any advice for doing this? I would hate for someone to get confused between the listings!

Candies!__________________________________________________________

As some of you may know, I am slowly trying to build up a large variety of candy. Not only for Halloween, though! I would really love to build an entire candy shop display. *flashbacks from childhood, anyone?*

Here we have chocolate bars (partially inspired by those of Stéphanie Kilgast of PetitPlat), jawbreakers, caramel creams, gummy worms, saltwater taffy, and chocolate malts- all of which are childhood favorites.

Not only do I find making miniature candy highly meditative... it's quite nostalgic. I remember eating on jawbreakers for days, competing with the neighborhood kids to see who could get to the center first... and always finding caramel creams in my uncle's candy dishes... and being treated to saltwater taffy on trips to the beach and the mountains.

Jack O'Lanterns!___________________________________________________

They'rrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee backkkkkkkkk! With a twist!

These are only the first of many to come.... I thoroughly enjoy making these little guys! Right now I have 4 medium green, 4 medium white, and 1 large green jack o'lanterns. What do you guys think about the new colors? Personally, I am starting to prefer the white and green pumpkins of the oranges ones... but hey, that could be because they are new! :)

Like I said, all of these items have been listed! They will all be added to the new Autumn 2013 section in my Etsy shop! :)

Thank you guys so much for stopping by!

P.S. I'm going to spend the weekend relaxing with some family out of town! Probably going to take just enough supplies to work on something while I am there! How are you guys spending your weekend?
